July is one of the busiest months in Greece so please plan your travels early! We recommend that you book a flight that arrives in Athens at the latest by Tuesday 14th July at 3pm in order to account for potential delays.
For those travelling long haul you may want to get open-jaw flights (Home-Athens / Istanbul-Home). Turkish Airlines has very convenient connections. We love the service, the food and their lounge in Istanbul!
If you are a party of 2 or above travelling from Singapore, please contact Burcu Demir burcud@thy.com for enquiry on group rates with Turkish Airlines and quote “Seraphine & Leo’s Wedding”.
Greece is (currently still) part of the EU hence if you have ever needed a
Schengen visa to get into Europe, you will need one now.
Check here to see if you need a Schengen visa.
The port of Istanbul is located close to the centre of town,
and about 30 minutes away from the international airport.
For those leaving Istanbul on 18th July, we recommend
that you reserve a flight that departs no earlier than 11am.
Even if you are just transitting in Istanbul for the day, you will still be
entering Turkish territory upon arrival and may need a visa.
Check here to see if you need a visa to enter Turkey. Please do check as some countries need an e-visa which will need to be prepared prior to arrival. It is a very easy online payment.
Beach and swimwear, flip flops / beach shoes (sports shoes will not be necessary unless you have ambitions on hitting the gym)
Your best Pirate outfit, beach dresses / summer trousers and a Black Tie / Evening Gown (Ladies, bring all the heels and bling you want!)
It's HOT, people! Evenings are breezy (hopefully)...
