Tuesday 14th in Athens

SCROLL DOWN

Tuesday 14th in Athens

Two options for you on 14th July 2015

OPTION 1: SHUTTLE IT FROM KING GEORGE HOTEL TO PIRAEUS PORT

If you arrive on 14th July and need a place to store your luggage while you are off adventuring in Athens for the day, we are providing a shower & storage facility on 14th July from 9am to 5:30pm at the basement of the King George Hotel at Syntagma (Parliament) Square in Athens.

For those of you already in Athens staying at another hotel, we would appreciate it if you would drop your luggage here anyway and let the hospitality desk over there know that you want to take the shuttle bus. Click here for Seraphine & Leo's personal recommendations in Athens.

Please note that this is NOT part of your check-in onboard Le Lyrial. Just like a left luggage facility in an airport, you are still responsible to ensure that it gets onto the shuttle bus and then checked in with Le Lyrial at Pireaus Cruise Terminal. Please ensure to use the luggage tags that we have provided with your names and cabin numbers.

It is a 30-minute ride to Piraeus Port. Come back to the King George Hotel to grab your luggage and get on the shuttle buses on time please.

OPTION 2: GO STRAIGHT TO PIRAEUS PORT CRUISE TERMINAL, DOCK A

Should you wish to make your own way to Piraeus Port Cruise Terminal (Dock A), you can check-in as early as 1pm but you will not be able to get onboard Le Lyrial until 5pm. You must present your passport & boarding passes here, and your luggage must be tagged with your cabin numbers. There will be a hospitality desk at the port, look out for Le Lyrial.

In any case, please arrive at Piraeus Port Cruise Terminal (Dock A) by 6:30pm at the very latest.

For those considering to take this option, here are some restaurant recommendations in Piraeus for you to hang out in before you can get onboard Le Lyrial.

Varoulko (fancy, higher end); Street Souvlaki (walking distance from Cruise Terminal); Tsipourokatastasi (grilled meats); Tetzeris (homemade Greek food); Meat and Salad (souvlaki & salad joint)

CHECK-IN PROCEDURE

You should have now received your luggage tags and boarding passes. Please make sure you bring them along with you on your journey to Athens.

The cruise terminal in Piraeus Port is like an airport. Upon arrival, there are check-in desks where you will be able to leave your luggage before embarkation. You will need to tag each one of your belongings with your name and cabin number so that the crew knows exactly where they need to go. This is extremely important.

Once you have checked in, you will pass an area for security clearance and immigration. You will need to show your passport and boarding pass at this stage.

Panormos Beach

Mykonos

We have organised this day at the beach to pay tribute to the Modern Olympics which originated in Greece just over 100 years ago… We know that we and our friends are not exactly Olympians so no worries – there will be a game for everyone! You will be divided into teams (to be formed at our sole discretion) and we expect absolutely everybody to participate.

For ex-Roseens, the Olympiades will be a reenactment of Ascension Day which you will fondly remember… It will be a day of games & sports, teams & scores… and of course an afternoon of BBQ and booze!

For everyone else – just bring your athletic bodies and competitive spirits!

9PM

Greek Taverna Night & Awards Ceremony

Get ready for an evening of music, dance, and Greek taverna food! Losing teams – get ready for public humiliation.
